The UAE vs Scotland game in Dubai was postponed on Friday due to “bad weather conditions across the country” following a government directive. On Saturday, the Afghanistan Cricket Board confirmed that persistent rain in Sharjah forced the cancellation of their match. ACB stated that the decision was made after discussions with the event’s technical committee, match officials, and ground staff. Afghanistan currently lead the series 1-0 after their 35-run win in the first ODI, and the final game is set for March 12 in Sharjah.
Local media reports indicated that the weather caused flight cancellations, with a yellow weather alert in place, forecasting worsening conditions.
